Change, It Starts With Me

Change is not for everyone. Some wants it, while some don’t. When change comes, adjustment will also follow. Change happens whether we like it or not, because the bad news is things will not be the same forever, the good news is things will not be the same forever! Change happens for a reason, every change is for the betterment. This is just on how we perceive change and so when someone, something, somewhere, sometime will change, let us ask ourselves if do we really want this or it to stay forever?

If we want to be better at some aspect, we immediately thought of changing something that is within us. However, we can never achieve this if no accountability is present in us. If we continue to tolerate poor behaviour of us or theirs, then it will continue to stay. This is where change starts. We need to recognize the significance of accountability first, then the thought of change will follow. How does change start? By slowly entering a life that gives you a sense of discomfort. Why discomfort? For instance, you brought a brand new shoes and you had just wore them for the first time, the shoes gives you discomfort at first but as you wore it regularly, it had just became more comfortable as you had already adjusted. So, this is how you know that you are changing, because finally, you had stepped out of your comfort zone. You are changing, for you are aiming to be better, and to be better is to be healed and peaceful person. 

We are so afraid of change that we never see the
benefits of it. We fear more than we embrace.

122nd High School Day

 The preparation for the 122nd High School day was a struggle, for both teachers and students. There were practice sessions for the field demonstration that required students to participate, props that are needed to be made, and class hours that were compressed in order to have enough time to practice. Although, it was all worth it when I saw that each one of us were smiling throughout the day. The Field demonstration involved the every students to perform, from grade 7 to 10. Each grade level has their own festival to perform.  In Grade 10, we performed Sinulog Festival. The boys garnered the title “CHAMPION, while the girls got 3rd Place in the field demo competition.  After the field demonstration, the school hosted a concert for a cause in which it involve the bands from the grade 10 special science class, the bands from the senior high school, and teachers.
