Valentimes

               When we think of Valentine’s Day, we immediately think that this is about gift-giving, couples, and anything associated with romance in general. Although, valentine’s day is also now being celebrated with or without partner. In this generation, some also call it “Galentines Day” for the women who is out celebrating with their girl friends.



            

    Everyone’s valentine’s day is different. My valentine’s day this year is more remarkable than the others. Why? Aside from spending my time training for the division school press conference, it is my first time receiving a bouquet of flowers in Valentine’s Day. Other than that, I spent time with my friends by eating and gossiping over lunch. Furthermore, our section also went to give appreciation gifts and serenaded our teachers. I ended my day by having an intimate dinner with my family where we shared smiles and laughters.Overall, this Valentine’s Day is by far the best I had yet.


                  Valentine’s Day is not about the gifts that you will received rather it is about the people that you spend with. It is all in the bond and genuineness. Everyone’s valentines day is celebrated differently, one may be celebrating it with joy and one may be celebrating it melancholy.

122nd High School Day

 The preparation for the 122nd High School day was a struggle, for both teachers and students. There were practice sessions for the field demonstration that required students to participate, props that are needed to be made, and class hours that were compressed in order to have enough time to practice. Although, it was all worth it when I saw that each one of us were smiling throughout the day. The Field demonstration involved the every students to perform, from grade 7 to 10. Each grade level has their own festival to perform.  In Grade 10, we performed Sinulog Festival. The boys garnered the title “CHAMPION, while the girls got 3rd Place in the field demo competition.  After the field demonstration, the school hosted a concert for a cause in which it involve the bands from the grade 10 special science class, the bands from the senior high school, and teachers.
