Christmas: Season of Giving

Christmas is commonly known for gifts, celebration, parties, and santa claus. As kids, we favor christmas the most because of the gifts we are receiving; but certainly, as we grow up, we will realize that christmas is more than just about the presents. 

    Christmas is about the heart an individual has. For me, it is about the love that we are yet to express. Up until now, Christmas is still my favorite holiday. The christmas decorations, holiday activities, traditions, and the breeze of Christmas air, I would not trade for anything more. 

  In the Philippines, they set up the most exquisite christmas decorations, not only in their houses, but also in the corners, roads, and bridges of the citites and provinces.Other than christmas decorations, we also give presents to our loved ones or to whoever. Big or small, a gift is a gift that is a way to show out gratitude and appreciation.
    Aside from tangible ways, for me, it is also significant that we spread a positive mindset especially within the christmas season. We are not entitled to ruin the life of other people. To celebrate christmas with the value of love and compassion, there is only one thing we must bear in mind, Christmas highlights the heart of a person. 


Finally, Christmas is not about how big you give or how extravagant you celebrate the holiday. For me, it’s about how you can be pure and genuine to people and how you can make an impact to their lives because of it. Your house doesn’t have to be so colorful because of the lights, your gifts doesn’t have to be enormous, your presents that you had received doesn’t have to be many, at the end of the day, it’s the thought that counts.

122nd High School Day

 The preparation for the 122nd High School day was a struggle, for both teachers and students. There were practice sessions for the field demonstration that required students to participate, props that are needed to be made, and class hours that were compressed in order to have enough time to practice. Although, it was all worth it when I saw that each one of us were smiling throughout the day. The Field demonstration involved the every students to perform, from grade 7 to 10. Each grade level has their own festival to perform.  In Grade 10, we performed Sinulog Festival. The boys garnered the title “CHAMPION, while the girls got 3rd Place in the field demo competition.  After the field demonstration, the school hosted a concert for a cause in which it involve the bands from the grade 10 special science class, the bands from the senior high school, and teachers.
