R esilliency is a term to state the ability to withstand vulnerability. This is where we can say that you can adapt to any misfortunes you may encounter in this lifetime. What is resilliency to Filipinos? Are we aware of this word? My name is Princess Veyonce Nuñez Reyes. “Princess” because my father wanted to treat me as if I was a royal, he wanted to treasure me considering that I am his first daughter. My name “Veyonce” is partly because of the Queen Bey herself. It is derived from the french and african surname “beyonce” which translates to “beyond others”. I am the eldest daughter, granddaughter and niece to my family. My baby brother whom I have 16 years gap with became my light to my dark and catastrophic life. Being the eldest, I had already adapted being on my own — that includes solving problems, making decisions, sett...
